The Great Skinny Jeans Debate

My boys are loving skinny jeans right now.  I am not.  I think they look weird whereas the boys think they are super cool.  Bleh.

I’m sure that when they wear them, they envision themselves looking something like this:

While I envision them looking something more like this:

Conan's Jeggings

I do not like skinny jeans on guys.  On anyone, really.  I think very few women can actually pull off the skinny jeans/jeggings look.  But, I think they look especially stupid on guys.  Who’s with me?

Nevertheless, I bought the boys some skinny jeans the other day.  But only because they were very cheap.

I found this great store near my dentist’s office called KidZone.  It’s kind of like a consignment store.  She buys high-end, name brand clothes in like-new condition from people and sells them in her shop.  It really made me wish I hadn’t bought the kids’ school clothes already because her prices were awesome!

I was a really awesome mom and I bought each boy a couple of pairs of skinny jeans.  They were $8 each – Vans, Levis, and Bullhead Denim.  I even found Bean some little Hilfiger Girl jeans for $4 and Big Al some Abercrombie jeans for $12!  Those jeans would have all set me back quite a bit if I hadn’t bought them used.  And, ya know what?  No one will ever know the difference!  They look brand new!

So, if my kids want to dress like little weirdos, at least I’m not paying a fortune for it.

When you're almost 13, you can't smile when your mom tries to take your picture.

Now, where’s my “Most Awesome Mother Ever For Letting Her Kids Dress Like Weirdos Because They Think It’s Cool” award?
